A butterfly net, gasping tightly, a space ship it is.
Her wooden clappers, go home while striking, a little girl does.
With a hot iron, being slightly burnt, a baby with Mongolian blue spot.

『カーニバル (CARNIVAL)』 by デュラン・デュラン (DURAN DURAN)

彼等がデヴューした頃、ぼくは丁度、大学受験 (University Entrance Exam) の時季にあって、殆ど聴いていないのであった。それまで音楽を聴きながらかたしていた宿題やらなんやらを、その音楽なしでやる。そうすると、それを聴いている時間がなくなる。ついでに新譜購入も手控える。聴く暇がないから仕方ないやら丁度いいやら、そういうアアンビバレンス (Ambivalence) でダブルバインド (Double Bind) な構造に陥る。
そういった理由だ。だから彼等だけではない。その時季、音楽の新しい流れや風潮に関しては、空白となってしまう。
