収録された楽曲は、マンフレッド・マン (Manfred Mann) がイー・エム・アイ (EMI) 傘下のエイチ・エム・ヴイ (HMV) に所属していた時代に発表したシングル楽曲全曲と幾つかのEP収録楽曲等から編集されたアルバム。未発表楽曲も2曲収録されている。
ちょうど初代ヴォーカリストのポール・ジョーンズ (Paul Jones) 在籍時代だ。
