前作『サプライ・アンド・デマンド (Supply And Demand : Songs By Brecht / Weill And Eisler)』 [1986年発表] はクルト・ヴァイル (Kurt Weill) の作品集だった。そして本作は、その作曲家と同様、ベルトルト・ブレヒト (Bertolt Brecht) との共同作業で知られる、ハンス・アイスラー (Hanns Eisler) の作品集である。
