ここにふたりのアーティストがいる。
ひとりに関しては、彼の名前も彼の音楽も、その信奉者やその継承者の演奏を通じてなんども体験しているが、彼そのもの、彼の音楽そのものは、ぼくは解ってはいない。
もうひとりに関しては、彼の名前も彼の音楽もその殆どは、リアルタイムで体験している。でも、だからと謂って、それを正しい意味で評価し理解しているかと謂うと、余りにも心許ない。
そしてこの2者をどう結び付けて評価し理解すれば良いのか、それが最も解らない。

Kumiko was the heroine for the comic "750 Rider
She was the second grade student of Ryudo Gakuen High School. She was one of the classmates of Hikaru Hayakawa, the main character for the comic, who had ridden Honda Dream CBS750FOUR. Her nickname was The Class President, because she was in good standing.

Minami Asakura, the leotard
Minami Asakura was the heroine for the comic "Touch
" 1981 - 1986 by Mitsuru Adachi for the magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday.
She was the Uesugi twin (Tatsuya Uesugi and Kazuya Uesugi) s' neighbor and childhood friend. There was the eternal triangle between them. But, by sudden death of Kazuya Uesugi, the story about the two left behind had started.

イアン・デューリー (Ian Dury) にはザ・ブロックヘッズ (The Blockheads) がいた様に、エエルヴィス・コステロ (Elvis Costello) にはジ・アトラクションズ (The Attractions) がいた様に、グレアム・パーカー (Graham Parker) にはザ・ルーモア (The Rumour) がいた。
ここまでは間違ってはいない。
当時、個性的な男性ロック・ヴォーカリストの背後には、彼と対等、もしくはそれ以上に個性の強い専属バック・バンドが配属されていたのである。そのヴォーカリスト達の、アルバムにもライヴにも常に、彼等が帯同していたのだ。

パンタ・アンド・ハル (Panta And Hal) [1977〜1981年活動] の時代は単純に格好いいな、そう思っていた。しかし、そう思いながらもその時代、その作品を購入する事はなかった。
パンタ (Panta) の作品をリアル・タイムで入手したのは実は、本作が初めてなのである。

『ロンリー・ユニバース (LONELY UNIVERSE)』 by ロンリー・ユニバース (LONELY UNIVERSE : MICHAEL WHITE & MICHEL LAMBERT WITH DAVID TORN & MICK KARN)
作品上の表記に着目すれば、本作は構成メンバーである4名、均等の作品ではない。各2名ずつのユニットの共演作である。すなわち、マイケル・ホワイト (Michael White : Tp.) とミッシェル・ランバート (Michel Lambert/a> : Dr.) のユニットとデヴィッド・トーン (David Torn : Gu.) とミック・カーン (Mick Karn : B) のユニットである。ロンリー・ユニバース (Lonely Universe) と謂う集団の作品は、本作の他にもう1作品『ア・ラ・プラージュ / À La Plage』 [1993年発表] があり、そのメンバーが前2者だけである事を考えれば、それ程に的外れな指摘でもないだろう。
だけれども、実際に作品に向かうと、その2対2とは異なる印象を抱かざるを得ない。
